Katie Davis and Lenny Campello: - North Light @ The Kemp

Katie Davis has worked as a tattooer and artist in the Richmond, VA area for over 20 years. She began a traditional tattoo apprenticeship before graduating school, continuing to learn while simultaneously working to get her degree in  Fine Arts through Virginia Commonwealth University.  

Her work is an exploration of media, including ceramics, painting and printmaking. 

She continues to show her work locally and nationally, as well as being included in various forms of publications.  Recently she completed an artist residency from The Visual Arts Center of Richmond, participated in various gallery shows locally, and helped to co-curate two collaborative art shows which partners local ceramic artist and tattooers to raise money for local nonprofits. 

Lenny Campello is an artist and leading art reviewer based in the Washington DC area.  Born in Santiago de Cuba, raised in Guantanamo, and exiled as a child to Brooklyn, New York as part of the 1960s Cuban Diaspora.

His work can be found in private and public collections throughout the world. He is represented in the United States by Projects Gallery (Miami, FL), Alida Anderson Art Projects (Maryland), Zenith Gallery (Washington, DC), WGS Contemporary (Washington, DC), and Mayer Fine Art (Virginia).
