Sandy Berend and Lauren Berend Deges are a mother/daughter photography team that reside and work in North Texas. Together, they spotlight the passion, strength, beauty, and dedication to the art of dance through their photography. 

Lauren has been immersed in the dance world since 2003. She grew up dancing and competing, then progressed to teaching at Dance Etc. of Wichita Falls. She continued with her love of dance at Texas Tech, choreographing and performing for the Vitality Dance Company.  

It was while photographing Lauren at her first recital that Sandy’s interest in dance photography was sparked. Twenty years and thousands of photos later, it still brings Sandy great joy to photograph the art of dance. For the last four years, Sandy has worked with and photographed dancers in their element alongside Lauren, her original inspiration.  

Lauren is an artist, photographer, and teacher in Wichita Falls. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in painting. She currently teaches Studio Art to EC3-12th grade students at Christ Academy. 

Sandy is an artist, photographer and native Wichitan. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston.
